Dewey Does is that nine-year old child, un-afraid, un-accepting, believing that he can do anything, and be all things. Dewey Does' love for sports helps him learn how to compete at all levels.

The purpose of the Dewey Does Foundation is to enrich our youth through sports, fitness, nutrition and education. We have created the Dewey Does program that hundreds of schools and thousands of youth and families have benefited from over the past few years. The Dewey Does organization has taken on the challenge to reduce youth obesity by developing a unique approach to the obesity problem; make the solution visual, give it an identity that kids recognize and become part of as they grow.

We encourage all schools, educators and students to use our 110% motivational stories as reading material in your classrooms or just to pass time. Please also, become part of the Dewey Does community by submitting your own motivational short story. We have learned through the Dewey Does' character that everybody from 2 to 92 has a Dewey Does 110% story to tell.

Tell Dewey Does why you are a 110% kid. Send Dewey Does a story that occurred in your life. Everybody gives 110% effort at something whether in sports, music, in their community, helping a friend or how hard they practiced to prepare for a special event. Contest Rules

All contestants for the Dewey Does 110% Essay Contest must be 12 years of age or under and live in the United States. Please use the form below to send your essay, along with a picture and the State you are from. By mail, please send to Dewey Does Foundation, Essay Contest, 322 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY 10306. All winners will be contacted by e-mail before posting, so please provide us with correct e-mail address.
